A question we're often asked!

In truth, it's up to you but we find the best portraits are those showing lively, vibrant colours.  Black is best avoided especially for the upper body.  If you are aiming for an informal look, try having everyone in white tops and stonewashed jeans.

Going for the more formal or 'going-out' look?  Again, try to go for rich, saturated colours.

Its O.K. to bring more than one set of clothes with you too.  That way you can see which has worked best on the viewing computer.
